A Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's deputy was injured today after wrecking his patrol car pursuing a subject.

The Louisiana State Police is going to be conducting a DWI sobriety checkpoint this Saturday February 8th somewhere in Jeff Davis Parish parish. It is an ongoing effort to keep the highways and roadways safe.

The first thing I did after reading the story was look to see if Jezebel is another one of those parody sites. Those are sites that basically just make up stories and say they do it for entertainment. If you ask me they are just liars. I found no parody claims at this site. They make some very strong accusations and possibly a strong argument that the eight unsolved murders were committed to cover

The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office is reporting that they responded to a call in reference to a woman who was seen jumping off of the Mermentau River Bridge which is East of Jennings, Louisiana.

Apparently these four geniuses in Roanoke, LA got hungry for Crawfish and instead of doing what any decent upstanding citizen would do which is buy them, they decided to just raid a crawfish farm and take what they wanted.

Flood conditions have led to a second day off of school for Jeff Davis Parish students on Friday, Jan. 11, and along the eastern edge of the parish, flood conditions may necessitate evacuations along the Mermentau River.
