From tennis courts to an ice rink, a transformation has taken place with one Louisiana city.

For a second straight year, an Acadiana town is hosting public ice skating as Crowley has announced "Rice on Ice" for the entire month of December.

Ice skating is a somewhat unusual activity here in East Texas, unless you visit the Dallas, Texas area, which is always fun during the holidays. You can also drive over to Marshall, Texas. But right here close to home? Not usually. Until now.

Yes you heard me right!  There will be Ice Skating in Lake Charles this holiday season. L'Auberge Casino Resort has announced that they will have a ice skating rink open to the public starting this Saturday November 17th and will go through Tuesday, January 1st, 2013.

L'Auberge Du Lac has turned their usually tropical pool area into a winter wonderland with a big ice skating rink. Now until January 8th, you and your family can experience the fun of ice skating with L'Auberge Du Lac's Wonderland On Ice.

L'Auberge Casino Resort has been changing things up from changing out carpet in the casino to putting an ice skating rink in for the holidays to now a new memorabilia shop in there mall of "Shops of L'Auberge".
