Since afternoon showers make hanging clothes on the line in Louisiana a challenge we all use our dryers a lot. But are we putting our families at unnecessary risk?

A single broken board on my house led to my bright idea that we could DIY paint the whole thing. Google could help, or so I thought. Know what you're getting into before paint even hits the brush.

So over the weekend I had this bright idea to redo an area in my backyard which frankly was an eye sore anyway.  It was an area with roots, grass, leaves and dirt as you will see in the picture below. Well what I have been doing is looking up landscaping and backyard improvement ideas and thought this should be easy.  Little did I know what I was about to get myself into!
