An Ouachita Parish man had a snake encounter or so he thought right before he was arrested.

Operation 27 was a combined effort by the Louisiana State Police, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, the Lake Charles Police Department, Homeland Security, The Drug Enforcement Agency and the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office. The arrest total stands at 24 now with more coming. We have a list of those who were busted for you.

On March 11, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Sulphur gas station regarding two men sleeping inside a car parked at the gas pumps.
