The dates have been set for Louisiana's annual alligator harvest lottery. The alligator harvest has been set for later this summer and early fall.

Wildlife experts say fermented berries on bushes and trees are causing an increase in intoxicated birds crashing into windows and poles.

When 79-year-old Nelene Guidroz heard his dogs barking early Monday morning, the last thing he expected to be causing the raucous was a 9-foot gator next to his back fence.

This upcoming weekend, you get to skip a step before you hit the lake or the river – you won’t have to buy a fishing license to drag your dinner out of the water!  The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has announced that June 9-10 is “Free Fishing Weekend."
