They bite, their annoying, and they make you itch!!!  The Calcasieu Parish Mosquito Control is reporting a big problem with Mosquito's in the area.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury set its parishwide burn ban on fire this past week, allowing residents in the unincorporated areas of the parish to resume whatever burning activities they need to perform. The ban was officially lifted Friday.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is having a seat belt checkpoint somewhere in the parish.  The reason they do this is to save lives.  So make sure that you wear your seat belt not just Thursday but everyday.
