The Cajun French Music Association is having a Cajun dance on Friday March 2nd at the CFMA building located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. Coming back to town for the first time in a long time is Jesse Lege'!  Playing with Jesse at the dance will be Ganey Arsement & The Lakeside Gamblers. Here are all the details about the event.

The Cajun French Music Association (CFMA) recently announced the winners of the 2011 Le Cajun Music Awards (basically the Cajun Grammys) and our own Mike Soileau was among those honored. It wasn’t for his musical abilities (thank God), but rather for his promotion of Cajun music to the whole world. He totally got a plaque and everything, and it’s even engraved in French!

The Cajun French Music Association Festival in July has been named one of the  Southeast Tourism top 20 events!!!!  Some of the board members of the CFMA were on hand to receive the award.
