Grant Suire, a 8th grade student at St. Michael's in Crowley, has placed first in the National Junior Beta Club's speech competition. His message involves starfish and service. And it's brilliant!

My theory is that Drew Brees is just now fully recovered from that preseason in jury. If that is the truth then we are going to see more games this year like last week's victory over Pittsburgh. That performance earned Drew Brees the title of NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

After a perfect 13-0 regular season and a trip to his second BCS National Championship game, LSU head coach Les Miles will be honored for his efforts as he will be awarded the Coach of the Year honor on ESPN tonight.

This is Chubby Carrier's year!!  First he took home the Grammy  for best Cajun/Zydeco album and now he is being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony is this  Sunday, October, 16th at the Festivals Acadiens et Creoles in Lafayette, LA.

Former Cajun Music star Hunter Hayes, known for his big hit "I'm Just six years old", has made the move to Country Music and made his national TV debut last night on the CMT Awards last night playing his current single "Storm Warning."
