2014 College Football Rankings

Even though the LSU Tigers pulled out a last second victory over the Florida gators Saturday night 30-27, the Tigers still find themselves outside both national polls.

The LSU Tigers are now in unfamiliar territory. After the embarrassing loss to Auburn last Saturday 41-7, the Tigers were bounced out of the national rankings that were released Sunday.

This past week, LSU head coach Les Miles announced that he would be making a change at the quarterback position pulling Quarterback Anthony Jennings who threw for two interceptions and lost one fumble last week against New Mexico State and replacing him with true freshman Brandon Harris.

Tiger fans were stunned at the way the LSU Tigers started off last Saturday against New Mexico State. After their second straight shutout of the 2014 season, the LSU Tigers have moved up two spots in both polls. The Tigers shutout ULM last Saturday night at Tigers stadium beating them 31-0. The previous week, they blanked Sam Houston State 56-0. Where did they move too?

After blowing out Sam Houston State Saturday night 56-0 and improving their record to 2-0 on the season, the LSU Tigers football team now set their sites on their next opponent, the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. After the LSU Tigers football team came back in the fourth quarter to beat Wisconsin 28-24 on Saturday in Houston in primetime, the LSU football team moved up in the AP Top 25 and stayed put in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
