The South Lake Charles Little league boys were in action today at 4:00 p.m. taking on Lufkin from the Texas East division for the right to play in the championship game and maybe a birth in the little league world series.

Unfortunately, the South Lake Charles team came up short of that goal.  Here are the details.

The game between South Lake Charles and Lufkin began at 4:00 p.m. today on ESPN 2 and from the start it was all Lufkin.

Lake Charles came into the game 3-0 in the regional and had 10 run ruled all 3 teams they had faced before today to advance to the semi finals.

In the end, the boys from South Lake Charles were shut out on the scoreboard and only had 3 hits in the game losing 6-0.

That ended the South Lake Charles teams winning streak and also their hopes of making it to the little league world series in Williamsport, Pa.

Although disappointing, the team has nothing to be ashamed of and we are proud of our boys for a great season!

Congrats SLC little league.  We are proud of you!
