Sheriff’s Office Arrest Man For Child Desertion
Now this is a story of what not to do when you have kids!!!
On March 25, around 1:00 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino parking lot in reference to a 2 year old child left unattended in a truck.
A check of the license plate of the truck revealed the owner to be Cory T. Williams, 30, 151 Ednas Road, Lake Charles. Williams was located inside the casino and arrested. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with child desertion.
The 2 year old child was taken into custody by the Department of Children & Family Services.
Judge Arthur Planchard set his bond at $15,500.
CPSO Detective Michael Primeaux is the lead investigator on this case.
