Seven Applicants For Calcasieu Parish School Board Superintendent

CPSB Superintendent Karl Bruchhaus announced in February that he's retiring, and the search is underway for his replacement.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board has received seven applications for the soon-to-be-vacant superintendent position.

Below are the applicants and their current career status:

• Dr. Shannon Lafargue, CPSB Chief Academic Officer
• Robert Barrentine, CPSB Chief Operating Officer
• Dr. C. Michael Robinson, Thibodeaux, East Baton Rouge Chief Academic Officer
• Stanton Lawrence, Victoria, Texas, Assistant Superintendent
• Ret. Col. Dr. Corwin Robinson, Slidell, Principal
• Hamilton Brock, Baker, Principal
• Adam Taylor, Harriam, N.Y., Consultant

After the initial interviewing process, the top three candidates will be named on Tuesday, May 17. They will then have a final interview and the final candidate will be named on Thursday, May 26.
