So everyone in Southwest Louisiana was geared up with tailgate parties or hanging out to watch the game.  Then many people from the area actually made the trip to Baton Rouge to watch the game live!

Well after only 5 minutes into the game, it was delayed due to lighting in the area.  After about 4 hours, LSU coach Les Miles and McNeese coach Matt Viator decided to just cancel the game.  So what did that do for McNeese in the standings since they didn't get to play the full game?

Well Sunday we found out where the pokes stood.  The McNeese State Cowboys stayed put at No. 23 in this week's FCS Coaches Poll.  Here is the full standings:

The McNeese Cowboys return back to Lake Charles this Saturday night and will start Southland conference play when they take on Incarnate Word. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
