The LSU Tigers 2012 football season did not end the way the program or fans wanted it to as the Tigers lost to Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A bowl to end the season.

Now the LSU Tigers football program will take even a bigger hit as they will lose ten yes ten players to this years NFL Draft.

Les Miles and the LSU Football team will lose 10 players who are underclassmen because they are leaving early for the NFL draft.

Who is the Tigers losing?

Defensive ends Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo, Defensive tackle Bennie Logan, Linebacker Kevin Minter, Offensive tackle Chris Faulk and Running back Michael Ford. Also

Safety Eric Reid, cornerback Tharold Simon, Running back Spencer Ware, not to mention Tyrann Mathieu are entering the NFL Draft.

Tyrann Mathieu, of course, didn’t play this past season for LSU after being dismissed and had no chance of returning in 2013.

To put LSU’s 10 early NFL draft entrants into perspective, the entire SEC had 11 in 2012.

LSU Head coach Les Miles told The Baton Rouge Advocate, “I like the state of the program." I like the fact that we send guys to the NFL early and recruit guys with the potential to go to the NFL early.”
