Well, it looks like this weekend will be a perfect time for a road trip to Lafayette.

Lafayette native and UFC fighter, Dustin Poirier, is going to cover the tabs of everyone who watches UFC on ESPN 12 this Saturday at Broaddus Burger (610 E. Kaliste Saloom Road).

If you know anything about Dustin, he is big into giving back to his hometown. Through his non-profit charity, The Good Fight Group, he has come up with a plan to help a local business and fight fans at the same time.

Poirier told MMA Junkie:

So from the beginning of the fights on Saturday to the end of the fights, from 5 p.m. to close, we’re encouraging people to come in and we’re going to cover their food bill. We’re going to cover the tabs for everyone watching the fights.

The fight will take place this Saturday in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex facility.

Dustin usually auctions off the fight gear he wears during his fights to raise money for his charity. Through these actions, he's been able to build a playground for special needs children, water wells overseas, and he's supplied backpacks to over 500 kids.
