Live Buffalo For Coushatta Buffalo Run Saturday (No Bull!)

The Coushatta Classics Car Show and Buffalo Run 5K is Saturday morning (5/26) on the Coushatta Reservation just north of Elton.

The run starts at 8AM and, according to the official page:

This fun one of a kind 5k and festival will feature traditional dancers, Native American crafts and foods, music, and a LIVE BUFFALO!

The Coushatta people have called the piney woods just north of Elton and east of Kinder home for more than a century. More than 800 members live on the reservation.

If you aren't a runner, organizers have a full day planned with music, a silent auction, activities for the children, and an assortment of Native American food.
