John Lewis: “Together, You Can Redeem The Soul Of Our Nation”

Today U.S. Representative John Lewis is laid to rest. Former Presidents Barack Obama, George Bush, and Bill Clinton, Rev. James Lawson Jr. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi , Rev. Warnock, and many others eulogize Lewis in the legendary Ebenezer Baptist Church. How fitting that his going home service is held at the church his longtime friend, Dr. Martin Luther King, once pastored in Atlanta, Georgia.

A hero of the civil rights era and champion of love, he served this nation with greatest integrity, honor, and respect for all. Known for getting in good trouble, the late Lewis penned an essay before his death on July 17. Published by The New York Times he left everyone in America a final message.
