Back in 2009, Wienerschnitzel left Waco, leaving many sad and disheartened. But the hope that the eatery would come back never left. Now, those hoping for its grand return can finally breathe a sign of relief, as the restaurant has finally opened.
When Was The Eatery First Announced To Be Coming Back?
Back in January 2025, Wienerschnitzel made the reveal that they were coming back to Waco after leaving 2009. At the time, Cory Duncan, Real Estate Agent and someone who lives in Waco said:
“Them entering or re-entering into the market is a sign of some positive growth and change in the business landscape.”

Now, the moment has finally arrived for Wienerschnitzel and it's finally open. So, what did everyone say about the opening?
Reaction To The Wienerschnitzel Opening In The City Of Waco
The eatery finally opened on November 15th, 2025, as reported by PR Newswire. The owner of the business, Brett Swartz, said in a statement:
"Our goal is to create a place where families, students, and visitors can enjoy a fun, fast, and memorable meal. We can't wait to serve Waco and become part of our neighbors' everyday routines."
