Police In Temple, Texas have taken a man into custody following reports of them harming a young autistic child. Here's what is known at the time of writing.

Wayne Oliver Bingham And His Alleged Crimes

Per FOX 44, concerns were first raised on September 17th, 2024. Law enforcement in Temple were alerted to a situation taking place in the 2700 block of Alamo Trail. Per the tip from the unidentified female, Wayne Oliver Bingham was reportedly seen hurting the previously mentioned young autistic 14 year old.

After that, on September 26th, an arrest statement revealed that two people from the Child Advocacy Center talked about the previously mentioned incident.

Bingham Taken Into Custody Following Interview

FOX 44 reports that the two unidentified workers with the Center revealed that Bingham was observed strangling the 14 year old. To stop the attack on the child, a women shoved Bingham's hands off them. In addition, the time of how long the 14 year old was been choked was revealed to be several seconds.

Following the interview, Law enforcement in Temple was able to procure an arrest warrant for Wayne Oliver Bingham. He was placed under arrest, then taken to the Bell County Jail. He has been charged with a third degree felony charge of injury to a child, elderly or disabled, and at the time of writing, is still in the detention center.
