Questions have been raised by one parent in Houston, Texas following her child showing up at home without being picked by them. Here's what is known at the time of writing.

Texas Elementary Student Leaves To Go Home Without Parent

According to ABC 13 Houston, the child of Fernanda Cardona arrived at home following a school day. But, he wasn't supposed to go home by himself. Instead, his parent was supposed to pick him up and take him back home.

According to the young seven year old, he revealed to ABC 13 Houston that he simply left the campus of the school, and got onboard a METRO bus which led him home safely. The mother of the boy, while happy he arrived to the house safely, was still upset regarding his ability to go home without being supervised.

Cardona told ABC 13 Houston that "He knew how to get home. I'm very thankful for that, but it's just something that's very concerning." Cardona also revealed to the news station that to check her child out of the learning institution, she must give a notice, in the form of blue placard, to take her child home. Because of this moment, Cardona went to the school to find out why this happened.

Instead, she received an apology and a promise it would be looked into. Per Cardona, when she talked to the Assistant Principal:

"She apologized. She explained to me that she doesn't know how this happened. She explained to me that she will be looking at the videos, but she just explained to me that she couldn't do it today because she was busy with the fall festival."

At the time of writing, details haven't been given as to why this occurred. As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
