By now you know the story of former U.S. President Donald J. Trump being shot while on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and now we have video of him arriving at a local hospital after the shooting.

Patients recorded the moment the Secret Service arrived with former President Trump and you can feel just how tense it was as he arrived at the medical facility.

You hear one woman in the video get emotional as they escort him out of the SUV, and then one man sees President Trump walk into the hospital under his own power and seems very relieved.

Trump, who is lucky to be alive after the assassination attempt, was treated for an injury to his ear, that you've seen wrapped at the Republican National Convention.

Thomas Cooks was identified as the man who shot Trump at the rally and nearby snippers ultimately shot him after shots were fired towards Trump and the crowd.

How the shooting happened and the response is very much under investigation and it may be a while before we know how Cooks was able to get on a building just over 100 yards away and shoot the former U.S. President.
