Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Lafayette, Louisiana
UPDATE: The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Joshua Foreman, 37, of Baton Rouge.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling west at the 2600 block of Cameron Street. Foreman was walking the same direction and for reasons still under investigation, he was struck by the vehicle.
The driver provided a voluntary breath sample that yielded 0.00g%BAC. Impairment is not suspected to be a contributing factor.
It was a rough night on the roadways of Lafayette, Louisiana last night.
Around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 29, a bad crash on Kaliste Saloom Rd and the Evangeline Thruway involving an 18-wheeler resulted in injuries.
We have not received official word from Lafayette Police regarding the status of those injured.

Then, later in the evening, a crash in the Hub City involving a pedestrian didn't end as well.
According to the Lafayette Police Department, there was a fatal crash involving a pedestrian around 9:48 pm in the 2600 block of Cameron Street.
The male pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators blocked off the area to conduct their investigation last night. There will be more information released at a later time.
The identity of the deceased has not been made public yet.
