Janitor at Louisiana Elementary School Dies on Campus

Some sad news from a campus in South Louisiana, a beloved janitor has passed away while working campus.

Our media partners at KATC TV-3 report that John J. Miller, 61, of Arnaudville passed away while he was on the campus of Cankton Elementary School.

Police say that Miller was found unresponsive in a hallway by faculty members, and by the time EMS arrived on the campus, Miller was dead. It appears that the man so many loved on campus died as a result of health issues.

KATC reports, "The School has closed for the day and notifications were sent to student parents advising of the unfortunate issues."

Melancon Funeral Home went to the campus to retrieve Milller's body and will be in charge of all arrangements.

Our thoughts are with Mr. Miller's family, colleagues, and students. He will be missed by many.
