Sammy Kershaw Postpones Golden Nugget Show in Lake Charles, Louisiana
Earlier today (5/17/24) Acdiana's own Sammy Kershaw did something he doesn't do very often. Kershaw announced via Facebook that tonight's show in Lake Charles is postponed. Here's why...
Louisiana's Sammy Kershaw
Born in Kaplan, Louisiana, Kershaw was born into a musical family and was exposed to country music at an early age. His grandfather, a musician, gave him his first guitar at the age of 11. After his father's death, Kershaw began performing in local bars and clubs to support his family.
Kershaw's big break came in the early 1990s when he signed with Mercury Records and released his debut album, "Don't Go Near the Water," in 1991. The album included hit singles like "Cadillac Style" and "Yard Sale."
Earlier today, Sammy announced that tonight's show in Lake Charles (5/17/24) is postponed.
Everything is fortunately OK with him, but unfortunately everything is not OK with his tour bus.
In a post to Facebook Sammy broke the news -
"The show at the Golden Nugget casino in lake Charles Louisiana has been canceled tonight due to unforeseen circumstances like a blown engine. I am very sorry but the show has been rescheduled for October 25.
So, keep your tickets and you will have your same seats and we will be there I don't care if it's horse and buggy. Hope you all understand and God bless you all, Sam."
