Powerball Climbs to $500,000,000 – Louisiana Winners Revealed

Lottery players in Louisiana who choose to participate in the multi-state lottery game Powerball will have a chance to add half a billion dollars to their financial portfolio tomorrow night. That's because the estimated prize in the Powerball Lottery game is expected to be at least $500,000,000.

You've probably surmised that no single ticket matched the numbers needed in the Monday, December 11, 2023, drawing to take the game's jackpot prize. But alas, luck was not a lady on Monday and no tickets won the top prize or any of the million-dollar Match 5 prizes either.

The prize up for grabs in last night's game was an estimated $477,800,000. Here are the numbers that were drawn:

You may verify those numbers when you check your ticket at either the official Powerball website or the Louisiana Lottery website. You can also verify those numbers at the official site for the Texas Lottery as well.

Speaking of the Texas Lottery and the Louisiana Lottery it was not a good night for players in either state as far as the Powerball game is concerned. As we mentioned there were no Match 5 prizes awarded in the game. Nor were there any prizes of more than $10,000 awarded to any tickets sold in Texas or Louisiana.

The largest prize a Louisiana or Texas Powerball ticket won last night was $300. In Texas, 41 tickets matched enough numbers to claim that much cash. In Louisiana, only two tickets sold matched the numbers needed for a $300 win. In all cases, the ticket's purchaser opted for the Power Play option.

Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot seems pale in comparison to the half a billion you could win playing Powerball but I don't think any of us would turn down 20 million dollars. That's how much you could win playing Mega Millions tonight.
