A cafeteria worker at a Louisiana High School has been charged for allegedly selling homemade baked goods infused with marijuana to students. The worker who was employed by a temporary staffing firm to help with cafeteria work at Jewel M. Sumner High was taken into custody on Friday.

Chief Jimmy Travis with the Tangipahoa Sherrif's Department told reporters that Tymetrica Cohn, aged 45 of Kentwood, Louisiana has been charged with multiple crimes in connection with her arrest. She is facing charges of possession and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone.

According to a report on the website for WAFB television out of Baton Rouge Cohn is alleged to have sold the infused edible to a student. Another student heard about the incident and used the P3 App to bring the threat to the attention of school administrators and local law enforcement.

Superintendent of Tangipahoa Parish Schools Melissa Stilley commended the student for seeing something and saying something in regard to the alleged illegal activity at school.  Jewel M. Sumner High School is located in Kentwood, Louisiana.

It should be noted that the individual arrested in this case, Tymetrica Cohns should be considered innocent until proven guilty. It should also be noted that Cohns was not employed by Sumner High School nor the Tangipahoa Parish School System. She was a contract employee who worked for an employment service that provided staffing for the school.
