Two lottery players in Louisiana have reason to wake up excited today. That's because the Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that two tickets sold for one of Saturday's drawings in the state produced a rare double win. Each of the tickets sold matched the numbers needed to claim a top prize of $200,000.

Saturday is a big night for the Louisiana Lottery. There are three "draw" games that execute drawings on Saturday night. The draw game that most lottery fans have heard on Saturdays is the Powerball Game. That game did hold its drawing last night and here's how the ping pong balls fell.

The official Powerball website reported not tickets sold matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize of $375,900,000. In fact, no tickets sold earned Match 5 prizes either.

The largest Powerball prize generated in Louisiana for last night's drawing was a $100 win. There were ten tickets that matched numbers needed to claim that prize. The Texas Lottery reported at $50,000 win as part of last night's drawing but there were no other major jackpot prizes won in Powerball for Louisiana or Texas.

Saturday's Lotto drawing in Louisiana produced eight winners of $883 but there was no winner for the $625,000 jackpot. The Lotto game paid out a prize of just over $2.5 million at the end of January so that jackpot is steadily growing with each drawing on Wednesday and Saturday.

The other Wednesday/Saturday draw game from the Louisiana Lottery is Easy 5. That game produced a winner of $110,000 the first week in January. Last night, Easy 5 struck again this time with a jackpot of $200,000 up for grabs.

What we have confirmed from the Louisiana Lottery is that two tickets sold in Louisiana matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize. One of those tickets was sold in Slidell, the other ticket was sold in New Iberia. The Louisiana Lottery has not confirmed point of purchase locations.
