90s Country Star Pam Tillis Playing Concert in Crowley, Louisiana on Sept. 14

One of the best female country performers of the '90s will stop in Cajun country this fall.

Pam Tillis is heading to the Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

ABOUT PAM TILLIS

A native of Plant City, Florida, Tillis is the oldest child of late country legend Mel Tillis.

She burst onto the national country scene in 1990 with her breakthrough album Put Yourself in My Place, featuring the hit song "Maybe It Was Memphis."

Tillis put out a total of five albums during the 1990s and charted twelve top-ten hits on the Billboard country music charts over the decade.

Some of those hits include the number-one "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)," "Shake the Sugar Tree," "Spilled Perfume," and "When You Walk in the Room."

Tillis won two major awards during her career: a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1999 for the multiple-artist collaboration "Same Old Train," and the 1994 Country Music Association award for Female Vocalist of the Year.

In 2000, Tillis was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
