Much of south Louisiana is bracing for Tropical Storm Francine and one small town near the coast is already calling for evacuations.

The mayor of Grand Isle, Louisiana is preparing his town by calling for mandatory and voluntary evacuations.

On Monday, September 9, 2025, Mayor Camardelle called for a voluntary evacuation in the small Louisiana. A mandatory evacuation was also issued for campers, RVs, and cargo and boat trailers.

Francine is expected to make landfall somewhere on the Louisiana coast by Wednesday afternoon. Forecasters predict that the storm could be a strong Category 1 hurricane, thus you should begin your preparations at home and in the office.
