Thomas Rhett Requires Three Oddly Specific Things Backstage Before Every Show [Exclusive]
Thomas Rhett just released his seventh album, About A Woman, which features the hit, "Beautiful as You," that is currently climbing up the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Rhett is immersed in dad life as well as music, as he is the father of three young girls, all while he travels the country and plays music for his adoring fans.
As you know, when you leave home, you like to bring some things with you that will make you feel more at home. For country artists who spend the majority of their days on the road on a bus, then backstage at a venue, sometimes what they ask for backstage can be rather specific.
Thomas Rhett Only Requires These Three Oddly Specific Things Backstage Before Every Show
Rhett was a guest on Taste of Country Nights On Demand with Evan Paul, and was asked what he requires backstage while on the road.
In an exclusive interview, the "Die A Happy Man" singer spilled the details.
"This is festival season, so our riders are pretty slim. Catering is pretty hit or miss, so I try to keep just as much food on the bus as I can, because you kinda never know what you're gonna get in the middle of nowhere wherever you are."
Then, the father of four zeroed in on the question, and we got the response we were looking for. "I love Coke Zero. Coke Zero is on the rider, and turkey, and water."
When Paul questioned him about the turkey and how he consumes it, it got even more specific.
"Yeah dude, Boar's Head. Boar's Head turkey, you can't go wrong. I just eat it, it's just straight protein, man, you know what I mean. I might put some mustard on it, but ya know, I love just eating sliced turkey."
Just know, as you get rowdy and chant Rhett's name as he is ready to come out on stage to perform for the sold-out crowd, he is in the back chomping on plain sliced turkey breast and washing it down with some Coke Zero, preparing to rock the crowd.
Evan Paul is the host of Taste of Country Nights, a syndicated radio show heard on more than 130 country radio stations nationwide, every night from 7PM to midnight. The radio show reaches over 21 million listeners per week. He plays the best new country music and interviews today's top stars, like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Dan + Shay, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Lady A, + more!
