(Mix 93-1) This will be the first weekend of many more to come this fall, where there could be too many things to get out and enjoy. Honestly, that's a good thing because East Texans are usually asking for more things to do! Well, this weekend will not disappoint.

You'll want to plan your weekend accordingly, pushing the yardwork and housework off until sometime next week because there are carnival rides to ride, fair food to enjoy, live music to listen to, and watching a rodeo at the East Texas Fair this weekend. But that isn't the only place to enjoy those kinds of activities because Pittsburg Pioneer Days are still going on, and there's the Texas State Forest Festival happening in Lufkin this weekend, too.

If you're not into fair food, rides, and entertainment, then there are plenty of other activities for you and your pet. Your pet can get microchipped for free. You can participate in a fun run, volunteer to help clean up some city parks, or learn how to compose your own songs.

Here's a look at what's happening this weekend in East Texas.
