Three East Texas individuals, including a juvenile, are in custody and are now facing capital murder charges in connection to a crime that happened September 1st in Turnertown.

The Rusk County Sheriff's office says 20-year-old Kameron Anderson of Bedford, Texas was found shot to death and placed in the trunk of his vehicle, and driven to a location where his car was set on fire by his alleged killer(s).

In a joint investigation with the Smith County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers, the Rusk County Sheriff's Office held a press conference announcing the arrest of a suspect along with alleged accomplices.

  • Nathaniel Hall, 18 of Troup
  • Jasmine Williams, 21 of Tyler
  • 16-year-old juvenile

According to Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith, Kameron Anderson was shot at a home in Troup, put in the trunk of his car, and then driven across the county line to Turnertown where the vehicle was set on fire.

During the investigation, authorities established Nathaniel Hall as a primary suspect. According to KETK, Hall was arrested by Tyler Police during a traffic stop where they recovered a reportedly stolen 9mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle.

After receiving a warrant to search Hall's home, police found shell casings and bullets that matched the same kind of gun obtained during the traffic stop by Tyler Police.

It was during a phone conversation with his sister that Texas Rangers learned of two other suspects who were in the vicinity of the shooting. KLTV reports that Sheriff Smith said Hall told his sister to 'clean up' and that he also contacted his mother after getting rid of the body. These additional individuals are now in custody.

Jasmine Williams surrendered to the Smith County Sheriff's office this past Friday and the juvenile involved in the case was arrested by Tyler Police after fleeing from them at an apartment complex on Shiloh Rd.

Williams is being held on a million-dollar bond and facing a capital murder charge. Hall is being held on a $2,080,000 bond and charged with capital murder, engaging in organized criminal activity, and unlawful carrying of a weapon. The juvenile is being detained in the Smith County Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation is still ongoing and other details about the killing are being withheld at this time.
