Cheyenne’s Been Living In The Shelter For 4 Months Now And She’s Looking For Her New Home
A little over 4 months ago we introduced you to Cheyenne. Cheyenne is a 7-year-old hound mix that was just dropped off at The Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler and left for the staff to take care of her.
That's exactly what Pets Fur People has done, but Cheyenne is wanting more than just the loving care of the shelter employees, she wants a family to call her own. Her fur-ever family.
She weighs about 75 pounds, is partially house-trained and is pretty laid back according to Gayle Helms, Pets Fur People's executive director. Cheyenne is well beyond her rowdy puppy years but still has lots of spunk and energy.
With lots of love to give in return, Cheyenne enjoys belly rubs and long walks. While space is becoming tight at Pets Fur People in Tyler, the no-kill shelter is doing what it can to place dogs like Cheyenne in loving homes just as quick as they can.
Cheyenne will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar and leash, and a big fluffy bed. For additional information on adopting Cheyenne call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet.
Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow Pets Fur People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
