John Foster's Musical Salute to Louisiana Earns Him a Top 5 Spot on 'Idol'
I have to admit, it's been a long time since I've paid too much attention to American Idol. BUT, this season, I've been watching more close since there's been so many Louisiana stars shining brightly. Clara Rae from Monroe wowed the judges a few times.
But, one Louisiana star has lasted and worked his way to the Top 5 - John Foster. Foster is a native of Addis, Louisiana and has been on quite the roll this season. Most recently he WOWED Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie with an incredible cover of George Strait's "I Cross My Heart".
Fans Are In Love With Louisiana's John Foster
The American Idol judges aren't the only ones digging John's performances this season. The fans are absolutely blown away by his performance. Just look at the comments section on the YouTube video from American Idol.

Aimee Scott said "This kid is a winner in every sense of the word. This is my favorite George Strait song and he absolutely nailed it!" Pam Martin said, "He knocked this song out of the park, he is my favorite, even if he doesn’t win he will definitely get picked up by a label, we will see him down the road at the CMTs someday."
And that's just a small sampling of the reactions online to John's performance this week. But, even going back to his 'audition' episode, fans were in love with him. As one fan said, "He's got. Raw natural talent."
Will John Foster Continue to Do Louisiana Proud This Week?
Regardless of the outcome, this kid seems to have a bright future ahead of him. But, as far as American Idol goes, his next challenge happened Sunday night where he was named to the 'Final 5'.
