Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, returns for the 10th anniversary of the event this August in Downtown Shreveport. The event will take place at the Shreveport Convention Center August 22nd-24th. It will be 3 days full of fun and excitement for the whole family.

What Is Geek'd Con?

The event can be broken into multiple different parts. You get to have 'meet and greet' opportunities with celebrities for some once-in-a-lifetime moments. There's also shopping from hundreds of vendor spaces full of collectibles, custom art, toys, vintage comics, and more. You can also enjoy panel discussions where stars answer questions and tell stories about their work. But one of the coolest things to see is the cosplay that fans will wear all weekend.

Tickets are on-sale now, and vendor booths are also available.

Who Is The Latest Celebrity Announced For Geek'd Con 2025?

This year's celebrity lineup got a rocking upgrade with the announcement that Black Veil Brides' lead singer Andy Black is set to appear.

Black and his band Black Veil Brides released their debut album 'We Stitch These Wounds' in 2010 (15 years ago, so here's another milestone anniversary for this year's Geek'd Con). The album peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hard Rock Charts. The band's third album, 'Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones', contained their breakout song 'In The End.

The song 'In The End' was a Platinum selling release for the band, and earned Revolver's 2013 Golden Gods Award for Best New Song. The song topped out at #4 on the US Rock charts, was featured in the "That's What I Call Music" series, was used by WWE for their Hell in a Cell PPV, and ended up in the video games Guitar Hero Live and NHL 14.

Has Andy Black Ever Done Any Comic Book Related Work?

Black also performed with his band on multiple soundtracks, including the song "Unbroken" from the "Avengers Assemble" soundtrack (song was a top 20 hit), and the song "Set the World on Fire" from the "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" soundtrack.

Andy Black has been named to some very impressive lists during his career. Even being named as one of Revolver Magazine's 100 Greatest Living Rock Stars and was named to Kerrang!'s 50 Greatest Rock Stars in the World Today.

But he's not just a rock star, Andy Black has found his way into the world of acting as well. He starred in the film "American Satan", and the critical response helped create a streaming series called "Paradise City" with Amazon.

Oh, Batman. He's also Batman.

Well, he voiced Batman for the DC Comics mini-series "Dark Nights: Death Metal". Since Black is a massive comic book fan, and rock star, it was perfect casting.

Come meet Andy Black, and maybe talk a little Batman, at Geek'd Con this August.

Who Else is Coming to Geek'd Con?

This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.
