The Shreveport Police are sending a clear message to anyone considering theft in our city: THINK AGAIN!

Late last year, Officers with SPD responded to a theft at Sam’s Town Casino in Shreveport, Louisiana.

When Police got to the scene, they spoke with with casino security, who said that a casino guest had stolen an industrial heater valued at approximately $1,500. During the investigation, the suspect was identified as 37 year-old Robert Woodward. Woodward was identified after using his identification card to enter the casino.

Last month, a Shreveport Police Department Property Crimes investigator contacted Sam’s Town Casino security and got footage of the theft. Based on the evidence, an arrest warrant has been issued for Robert Woodward on charges of Felony Theft.

SPD is urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to Woodward's arrest.

From SPD:

"The Shreveport Police Department is actively seeking Woodward’s whereabouts. Anyone with information that could assist in locating him is urged to contact Shreveport Police or submit tips anonymously through Caddo Crime Stoppers.

Let this serve as a warning: theft in the City of Shreveport will be investigated thoroughly, and offenders will be held accountable. If you are thinking about stealing in our city, you should reconsider."
