Shreveport Man Arrested for Robbing Elderly Woman

Yesterday Morning, Shreveport Police got a call about a robbery on West 70th Street involving an elderly woman.

When Police got to the scene, they spoke with the victim and witnesses and were able to get a description of the person who robbed the elderly woman, which made the search for the suspect very easy (see picture above).

Thanks to the quick action of the witnesses and victim, Patrol Officers were able to spot the suspect near West 70th Street and Mansfield Road. When Officers tried detaining the suspect, he resisted with force. Officers struck the man several times before they were able to get him under control, and additional units were called in to assist.

Dylan Johnson was taken in to custody, and charged with resisting. Officers later learned he also had an outstanding warrant through Probation & Parole. Additional robbery charges are pending.

The victim is expected to recover.
