On Monday, Shreveport Police were called to Logan Street in reference to an armed robbery involving a juvenile victim.

When SPD got to the scene, they spoke with the 16-year-old victim, who told police he had arranged to meet three people he knew from school to purchase several pairs of shoes.

The victim told SPD, after he handed over the money, one of the suspects, Payton Calvin, produced a firearm and threatened to shoot him if he didn't get out of the car. The victim left the car and ran home, where he called police.

Shreveport Police were called to Booker T. Washington High School after getting information that people involved in the robbery were on campus. Officers found and detained two of the suspects and took them to the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit for interviews.

After further investigation, Payton Calvin and a 16-year-old juvenile were both booked on one count of Armed Robbery.
