Shreveport Police Still Seeking Bank Fraud Suspect
The Shreveport Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Desharda Williams, who is wanted for bank fraud in connection to fraudulent activity at two local credit union branches.
On August 7, 2024, Williams allegedly negotiated two checks, one for $825 and the other for $780, at different Barksdale Federal Credit Union locations within hours of each other. The checks, written in other individuals’ names but made payable to Williams, were later determined to be fraudulent.
White Collar Crimes detectives obtained critical evidence, including relevant documents and video surveillance footage, which identified Williams as the individual responsible for negotiating the fraudulent checks.
An arrest warrant for one count of Bank Fraud was issued for Williams on November 20, 2024.
Anyone with information on Desharda Williams’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or reach out to Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Crime Stoppers offers rewards for information leading to arrests, and all tips remain anonymous.
