Louisiana Cracker Barrel’s Brings Back This Breakfast Favorite!

Cracker Barrel has been shaking things up on its menu, and Louisiana diners are about to get a taste of a long-awaited classic. No, it’s not the OREO Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes—though those sound pretty tempting. Instead, it’s a customer-demanded breakfast staple that’s finally found a permanent home on the menu.

Believe it or not, chocolate chip pancakes haven’t always been a Cracker Barrel staple. That’s right—until now, fans had to get creative, with some even buying chocolate candy from the Old Country Store and sweet-talking their servers into adding it to their pancakes. But with the launch of the new spring menu, diners across Louisiana and beyond can finally order them any time they please.

A Cracker Barrel representative told Country Living, "Chocolate Chip pancakes were first added to our seasonal, limited-time menu in the summer of 2018. Guests loved them so much that they invented a 'menu hack' to satisfy their cravings. That is, during the holiday season, when we offer our signature Chocolate Pecan Pie and have the ingredients available, guests will specially request Chocolate Chip pancakes."

Now, with the arrival of the new Signature Pancake Plates, chocolate chip pancakes are here to stay. Louisiana Cracker Barrel locations will now offer six different flavored pancakes: chocolate chip, blueberry, pecan, fresh strawberry, cinnamon spiced apples, and country peach.

I for one am excited, because, for me, Cracker Barrel has THE BEST pancakes on the planet! My absolute favorite is the blueberry pancakes with warm blueberry syrup!

So, next time you roll into Cracker Barrel for breakfast, there’s no need to ask for a menu hack—just order up a plate of these chocolatey flapjacks. The only question left is: bacon or sausage on the side?
