Wow! That's all I could say when I came across some of these old TV commercials from Lake Charles businesses. Talk about nostalgia!  These will take you back if you are from SWLA. You could probably still sing the theme song or remember the catchphrase because the aired fifty times a day. For instance,

" If my Daddy is the King of the Grill, then that must make me a princess!"

Remember that? Who's business used that slogan? If you thought Cotton's Famous Hamberger's, you'd be right! Looking at the scenery in a few of these old commercial ads, it's funny to see how much things have changed in the last few decades. I remember watching most of these when they first came out on TV, and back then, I didn't think they were corny. Looking at them now...they a very corny indeed! BUT memorable. I think that is the point.

Regardless they are still fun to watch. I found TV commercials from various eras, each showing how fashion, vehicles, and hairdos have changed throughout the decades. Something else that's interesting is the city's scenery and how much Lake Charles has grown and transformed since the 70s, '80s, and 90s.

Take a walk down memory lane and check out these cool TV commercials from back in the day. Below are a variety of TV commercials I dug up from a few decades ago, plus a bonus video montage of TV ads from New Orleans! Let us know what your favorite ad was and why.  Enjoy!
