Operation Santa Claus Toy Drive: Join the Downtown Christmas Run
It's time to lace up for one of the most fun and festive runs in Downtown Shreveport!
The holiday spirit is taking over, with local shops already prepping their dazzling Christmas decor. For one evening, instead of car traffic, runners and walkers will flood the streets, enjoying the holiday lights on a unique 3.1-mile (5K) course.
The Mission: Operation Santa Claus
This spirited event is much more than a race; it's a critical fundraiser for Operation Santa Claus, one of Shreveport’s longest-running toy drives for local children. This is your chance to make a tangible difference in a local child's Christmas. Runners are strongly encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or make a monetary donation to jump in and be part of something truly epic.
The Downtown Christmas Run/Walk will take over the heart of Shreveport on Thursday, December 11th, with the race kicking off at 7:00 PM. The course features a unique three-loop layout, a fun way for runners to soak up the Christmas cheer.
Competitive runners can aim for the top, with overall male and female winners each receiving a gift card to Sportspectrum.
