Things To Do In Lake Charles And SWLA This Weekend August 23-25
It's going to be a great weekend in Southwest Louisiana because there is a ton of things going on in the area. There are concerts, festivals, sporting events, and more happening in the area.
Are you looking for a concert to attend, sit down and have dinner, and hear live music, or are you ready for some college football? That's right college football starts this weekend too and the McNeese Cowboys football team will be in action. Let's get to it. Here is a list of things happening in the SWLA and Lake Charles area.
As we were talking about above, the McNeese Football team will begin its 2024 football season as they travel to Stephenville, Texas to take on Tarlinton. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN 2 Saturday at 2:30 pm.
Lake Charles Native Rusty Metoyer will be live at Cowboys Nightclub on Common Street next to Walk-ons in South Lake Charles. Rusty and his band Zydeco Krush will hit the stage Friday night at 10:00 pm. The doors open at 9:00 pm.
Country Legend John Anderson will be live at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center on Saturday night, August 24th, 2024. The show will start at 8:00 pm.
Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin' Cajuns will be playing live this Saturday evening, August 24th, 2024 at Linda's Lounge at 4338 Lake Street in South Lake Charles. There is a cover charge and you must be 21 or over to enter.
The Gueydan Duck Festival is taking place this weekend In Gueydan, Louisiana. The festival begins on Thursday, August 22, 2024, through Sunday, August 25th, 2024. Frank Foster, Wayne Toups, Casey Peveto, and more are set to perform. Click here for the entire lineup.
