McNeese Football To Host 4th Annual “Victory Day”
Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - Some great news to report on as McNeese Football has announced that it will once again bring back its annual Victory Day event.
The Victory Day event is a TREMENDOUS way for the players and coaches of McNeese Football to spend the evening, making the day of young children who are physically unable to take part in the events regularly.
McNeese's Victory Day provides cognitively and physically impaired children ages 8-18 the opportunity to play football or cheer, as well as participate in several game-day activities. Children who would never otherwise get a chance to play in Cowboy Stadium and score a touchdown are given the opportunity.
In the last few years, each camper was partnered with a McNeese Football player and had their name called out by McNeese Gameday Public Address Announcer Bruce Merchant over the stadium PA system. Just like the Cowboys do when they take the field, the camper ran through the tunnel formed by the spirit squads and band, and with the team meeting them at midfield.
