McNeese Baseball To Host Ivy League School Yale This Weekend In Lake Charles
Looking to put some baseball in your life this weekend? Get ready because the McNeese Cowboys are returning home this weekend at Joe Miller Ballpark in Lake Charles.
The Cowboys are currently on a four-game winning streak and have won nine out of their last ten games. The nine out of ten games won started when they beat the Ragin Cajuns right here in Lake Charles. Their only loss in this ten-game streak was against the Ragin' Cajuns when the Cajuns avenged the loss to the Cowboys on February 28th by winning in Lafayette on March 8th.
Currently, the McNeese Cowboys are 12-5 in the 2023 season. The Cowboys return back home this weekend March 17th through March 19th and will take on an Ivy League school. Yale is coming into Lake Charles to take on the Cowboys for a three-game series.
Yale University is a private Ivy League research university in New Haven, Connecticut, and was founded all the way back in 1701, Fun fact for you, Yale is the third-oldest institution of higher education in the United States.
Can they play baseball is the question right? So far this season, Yale sits at 4-6 on the season. They are currently on a three-game losing streak after losing to the University of San Francisco twice and the University of the Pacific. They are a part of the Ivy League conference.
The Cowboys and Yale will lock up starting tonight, weather permitting, in Lake Charles. Friday's game will start at 6:00 pm, Saturday at 2:00 pm, and Sunday at 1:00 pm. All three games will be played at Joe Miller Ballpark here in Lake Charles.
