Mamou, Louisiana [KNGT-FM] - One of Louisiana's longest-running celebrations of Cajun music is returning this fall as the 53rd Annual Mamou Cajun Music Festival and will take place on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, 2026, bringing together some of the state's most respected Cajun and Zydeco artists for two days of nonstop entertainment.

The festivities kick off Friday evening with live performances from 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., setting the tone for a full day of music on Saturday. Activities resume Saturday at 9:00 a.m., when festivalgoers can enjoy traditional Louisiana cuisine, browse vendors, and spend the day dancing to some of the region's best-known performers.

The Saturday music schedule begins at 9:30 a.m. During the afternoon, the festival will pause to recognize Kevin Naquin with a special honoree presentation before he and The Ossun Playboys take the stage for one of the weekend's featured performances.

Fans will also enjoy music from 4 Horses. At the same time, the festival's grand finale belongs to Grammy Award-winning Wayne Toups & Zydecajun, who will close out the event with an energetic performance.
