Well, here we are now in 2025. Did you party too hard for New Year's Eve? Or did you take it easy and save yourself for this weekend? So what is going on around the area you ask on this first weekend of 2025?
Are you looking to go to a concert, see some local artists play music, or just do something fun with the family? We have you covered with this list of things that are happening this weekend in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana for the weekend of January 3rd-5th, 2025.
Country music sensation Trace Adkins will be live in concert at L'Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles on Saturday night, January 4th. He will sing all his big hits like Your Going To Miss This, Ladies Love Country Boys, and more. Last we checked, tickets are still available for the show.
Doc Wilder will live at The Boardwalk on Friday night on East McNeese Street in the same shopping center as Man Cave in Lake Charles. He will start at 7:00 pm.
Several Farmers Markets are going on Saturday morning in the area. One in Lake Charles located on Biblo Street by the old courthouse, one in Moss Bluff on Highway 378, and one in Westlake at Millers Super Saver on Sampson Street. All three markets' hours are from 8:00 am to Noon.
Linda's Lounge located on Lake Street in Lake Charles will have Hillbilly Deluxe this Friday from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am and Gerard Delafose this Saturday from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.
Sunday Funday includes live music brunches all over the area. You can enjoy live music at Rickenjacks on Ryan Street featuring the band Zydecane. Luna's Bar & Grill in Downtown Lake Charles has a brunch with live music starting at 10:00 am, and Tia Juanita's Fish Camp has a jazz brunch starting at 10:30 am.
