New Japanese-Inspired Arcade Coming to Lake Charles
Lake Charles, Louisiana - A brand new arcade company is getting ready to expand here in Louisiana, and it looks like Lake Charles might be next on the additions list. Gotcha is a Japanese-inspired claw machine arcade, and they're expanding here to Lake Charles.

But it's not your typical arcade-style business; in fact, there's a catch. Gotcha is going to bring a new arcade experience with a different kind of fun for families, friends, and gamers alike.
Gotcha first opened in Lafayette during the summer of 2025. Since then, it has become a popular spot where people can test their skills on claw machines to win prizes like stuffed animals, anime collectibles, and even gaming consoles.
Many of the games are skill-based, meaning success depends more on patience and practice than luck. The company also says some locations feature virtual reality experiences that let guests explore exciting worlds in a safe environment.

Gotcha is set to open a brand new location right here in Lake Charles, and it will be located over on Nelson Road next to Crave Cookies. In addition to Lake Charles, Gotcha is also planning new locations in Baton Rouge and Killeen, Texas.
According to The Advocate, the company says it's still too early to share details about the Lake Charles location, and an official opening date has not been announced.
