(KNGT-FM) - Louisiana's own Frank Foster is coming back to the Bayou State in September for a big show, and we've got all of the information you need to know...

The Summer and Fall seasons are when concerts are at an all-time high here in Louisiana. Whether it's concerts or festivals, it feels like there is always a pretty big artist performing wherever you are.

Born and raised in the Louisiana woods, Foster built his fan base the hard way. Before music, he worked on oil rigs in the Gulf. Now, he’s packing venues across the South with fans who love his real-deal, blue-collar country sound. Over the years, he’s released nine full albums, including “Rowdy Reputation,” “Rhythm and Whiskey,” and most recently, “Tuffer Than The Rest.”

Frank Foster isn’t your typical country artist. He’s completely independent, meaning he releases all of his music on his own through his label, Lone Chief Records. He has no major record label backing him, yet he’s managed to climb the Billboard charts with multiple albums. That kind of success without a label behind you is rare.
