Finally Friday right? It's been another long week but good news, many things are going on in Southwest Louisiana and Lake Charles this weekend.

There are two different rodeos, a monster truck show, Mardi Gras Balls, concerts, and live music all over the place. Like we do every Friday, here is what is going on this weekend from January 31st through February 2nd in the lake area.

The 86th annual Southwest District Livestock Show and Rodeo is taking place at the Burton Coliseum. There is a performance on Friday night and two on Saturday. One Saturday in the afternoon and an evening performance too.  Get all the info here.

The Little River Band will be celebrating 50 years together and be making a stop in Lake Charles on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center. The show starts at 8:00 pm.

The Nitro Monster Truck show is invading the Lake Charles Event Center this Saturday for two shows. There is a 1:30 performance and another one at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at the Event Center box office.  Here's all the info.

The Cajun Rodeo is taking place at the West Cal Arena in Sulphur on Friday night and two performances on Saturday. Show Times are Friday at 7:00 pm and on Saturday at Noon and 6:30 pm.  Get all the info on the entire weekend here.

Several Farmers Markets are going on Saturday morning in the area. One in Lake Charles located on Biblo Street by the old courthouse, one in Moss Bluff on Highway 378, and one in Westlake at Millers Super Saver on Sampson Street. All three markets' hours are from 8:00 am to Noon.
